Newborn Skills Classes
New Mommy Mentor offers several classes for new parents. As a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula with over 30 years of child care experience, I have written these classes from the perspective of how to make life with a new baby easier and less stressful. As a new parent I know your time and energy is precious. That’s why all classes are designed to be filled with practical information that can easily be implemented right away. Many new parents are overwhelmed with information and confused about what strategy will work best in their situation. Having raised four children of my own and helped countless new parents I am honored to help you learn practical, common sense strategies for coping with whatever challenges you may be facing.
For your convenience I offer in-home classes for parents, grandparents & caregivers. I am also happy to come do a group class at a pre-arranged location of your choosing. Discount rates are available for groups of 5 or more.
I am currently offering the following classes/consultations
- Newborn Skills Class
- Infant Reflux, Practical Information and Coping Strategies
- Developmental Play Program for Babies 6 month thru 1 year
- Baby Registry Consult/Nursery Set-Up
- Infant Sleep Strategies

Review from the leader of Mom’s with Multiples Group
Carol Evans of New Mommy Mentor is an outstanding resource and support for new moms, families and of course babies. She listens, observes and assists families with putting together a plan that meets their specific needs. She is compassionate, loving, knowledgeable and professional. I’ve worked with Carol on a professional level in consultation as a speech pathologist working with an infant with special needs and have utilized her knowledge and skills as a guest speaker/ mentor for the San Antinio Mother’s of Mulitples new and expectant moms group. I now look to Carol as a colleague and resource who is passionate about the care and well being of moms and Babies as my current professional responsibilities often involves feeding and developmental challenges in infants. I only wish I had had the opportunity to use her services when I had my own twins!
